The American Council on Renewable Energy on Monday named Gregory Wetstone as its new president and chief executive officer.
ACORE’s board of directors approved Wetstone, former vice president for Terra-Gen Power LLC, on a unanimous vote. He begins his new position on Jan. 1.
Wetstone will succeed Michael Brower, who retired in January. Board co-chairs Dan Adler and Dan Reicher served jointly as interim president and CEO.
“With Greg Wetstone as CEO, I expect ACORE to be a key player as we work to grow the renewable energy sector and move the country towards a lower carbon economy,” Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) said today in a statement.
ACORE is a Washington-based nonprofit that promotes renewable energy options.
