Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and real estate mogul Donald Trump are the 2016 presidential candidates that voters want to select the next nominee to the Supreme Court, a new Morning Consult survey shows.

The poll, taken in the days that followed President Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court, shows 36 percent of Democrats said Clinton should nominate the next justice, compared with 26 percent Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders’ supporters.
