Academy Award-winning actress Dame Helen Mirren graced Capitol Hill on Tuesday to advocate for the return of artwork confiscated by the Nazis during World War II. Mirren testified before a Senate Judiciary Committee panel co-chaired by Texas Republicans John Cornyn and Ted Cruz. Mirren starred in Women in Gold (2015), in which she played an Austrian Jewish woman attempting to recover a stolen Klimt painting.
