Goldman Sachs Group Inc. partner Dina Powell will join President-elect Donald Trump’s White House as an economic adviser, the transition team announced Thursday.
Powell will focus on entrepreneurship, women’s economic issues and small businesses in her new role, the transition team said. Her formal title will be assistant to the president and senior counselor for economic initiatives.
Powell joined Goldman Sachs in 2007 and has focused on sustainable development and housing. Before that she held positions at the White House and State Department during President George W. Bush’s administration.
