Morning Consult’s Most Admired Employers was completed using 221,868 interviews with U.S. adults 18+ across the United States. Between 11,000-55,000 adults rated each company between January and May 2017. Respondents were asked if they would be proud to work for a company. They could check “yes” or leave the response blank. Results have a margin of error of plus or minus 0.5-1.0 percentage point.

Companies were ranked by the percentage of people who said they would be proud to work there. Ties were broken based on how well a company performed in Morning Consult’s Most Loved Brands.

State of the Workplace Poll (full results here):

Morning Consult also conducted a State of the Workplace poll from May 23-25, 2017, among a national sample of 2,182 adults, asking about people’s job satisfaction and what they look for in an employer. The interviews were conducted online and the data were weighted to approximate a target sample of Americans based on age, race/ethnicity, gender, educational attainment, and region. Results from the full survey have a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
