Morning Consult Names Olivia Petersen Managing Director of Communications

NEW YORK  (November 13, 2019) — Morning Consult Vice President of Content, Marketing and Communications Jeff Cartwright today announced Olivia Petersen as the company’s Managing Director of Communications. Based out of the New York office, she will be responsible for overseeing Morning Consult’s communications and media relations strategy.

Petersen brings with her 10 years of experience in public relations and communications management, most recently in executive communications positions at Whole Foods Market, NBC News and POLITICO.

At Whole Foods Market, Petersen was instrumental in executing crisis communications, assisting in corporate messaging, consumer promotion and Amazon initiatives. Prior to that, she served as the Senior Communications Director of NBC News,  overseeing hard news promotion and all communications efforts for the network’s Washington bureau. Additionally, Petersen established the public relations function within POLITICO, where she led communications efforts and executed a booking strategy averaging more than 500 broadcast hits each month. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from The George Washington University and a Master of Professional Services in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.

Petersen joins Morning Consult at a time of rapid expansion for the company. Just this month, Morning Consult was named by Deloitte as one of the fastest growing technology companies in North America.
