Energy Investment Ends Week Down

Energy investment on Friday ended the week down, with U.S. investment slipping 0.66 percent as of 3:40 p.m.

Global investment in the energy industry fell 0.95 percent.

Within the U.S. energy industry, investment in the oil and gas exploration and production sector and oil equipment and services sector decreased by 0.17 percent and 0.82 percent, respectively. Investment in the utilities sector rose by 0.96 percent.

The iShares U.S. Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (IEO) tracks U.S. equity in the oil and gas exploration and production sector.

The iShares U.S. Oil Equipment & Services ETF (IEZ) tracks U.S. equity investment in the oil equipment and services sector.

The iShares U.S. Utilities ETF (IDU) tracks U.S. equity investment in the utilities sector.
