Former GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will campaign next week for another ex-candidate, Sen. Rand Paul, as he seeks re-election in Kentucky.
Fiorina – who lost a Senate race to California Democrat Barbara Boxer in 2010 after leaving as Hewlett-Packard’s chief executive officer in 2005 – is scheduled to participate in a Friday $100 “meet and greet” fundraiser in Glenview, Ky.
Since she dropped her presidential bid, Fiorina has pledged to help Republicans defend their seats, and their majorities, in the House and Senate.
Paul, a Republican, is being challenged by Jim Gray, a wealthy Democrat and Lexington mayor who was elected in a nonpartisan election. While Paul finished the last quarter with about $1.3 million in the bank, Gray has said he would self-fund a great deal of his campaign.
