  • Amazon.com Inc. confirmed that it will delay Prime Day, the company’s biggest shopping event of the year usually held in mid-July, in the United States over coronavirus concerns but did not set a new date. Amazon said it will also host a Prime Day in India on Aug. 6-7, making 2020 the first year that Prime Day didn’t occur on the same day for all participating markets. (TechCrunch)
  • Toyota Motor Corp. has dropped its brand name in its logo redesign for European markets and altered the brand’s logo from a 3D to a simplified 2D design, thanks to an effort led by The&Partnership that marks the first update to the Japanese automaker’s branding since 2005. (Ad Age)
  • Snap Inc. said it has hired ad agency veteran Leo Macias for its newly created role of head of global creative. Macias most recently served as chief creative officer for Laundry Service, and he has put in time at DDB Worldwide Communications Group Inc., Publicis Groupe SA, Havas SA and Ogilvy. (Adweek)
