When it comes to food & beverage brands, Americans have many choices. A particularly crowded landscape means earning a spot in a shopper’s cart can come down to reputation. 

To help brands better benchmark their reputational performance, we calculated the average Morning Consult Brand Reputation Score™ for five categories within the food & beverage landscape — alcohol, beverages, grocery stores, restaurants and snacks — across 14 audiences.

Behind the Data

The brand data behind Morning Consult’s Food & Beverage Reputation Score Benchmark was gathered between October 1, 2024 and October 1, 2025. To be considered in our analysis, brands must be based in the U.S. or have a large U.S. presence, and must have sample sizes of at least 200 for all demographic groups included. Brands may be included across multiple categories if they sell products across categories. Parent brands or conglomerates were also included.
