  • Amid continued protests in Minneapolis over recent cases of fatal police brutality, new documents show that the Minneapolis Police Department, as well as officials at the nearby Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota Fusion Center, have previously used controversial facial recognition startup Clearview AI’s software — indicating that this system could be used to monitor the ongoing demonstrations.
