Voters Don’t See Debt Limit Peril For Themselves

More than 7 in 10 voters (71%) think the federal government’s default on its obligations would be a major problem for the U.S. economy and another 54% said it would harm their local economy, but a much smaller share (39%) said it would hurt themselves, according to a new Morning Consult survey.
